scp recursive copy

If you've set up a copy using:

scp -r tc@cup:~/myremotestuff/* .

You may have gotten the error

scp: No match

What is not obvious is "what the error is". What has happend is scp tries to match to a local name when infact the intent is to match a remote name. Remove the wildcard (*) and all will be good.
